Under the SPIR Lecture Series, Professor Siegfried Hecker – Professor at Department of Management Science and Engineering, and Senior Research Fellow at Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies (FSI) at Stanford University, United States – visited School of Politics and International Relations on March 16, 2015. He talked about “Normalising India-Pakistan Relations from Strategic Perspective.” He briefed the audience about the role his institute is playing in bringing advancement in the technological aspects of nuclear safeguards, while noting its importance for Pakistan and India. Dr Zafar Nawaz Jaspal, Director SPIR thanked the distinguished guest and highlighted the importance of the issue especially with reference to the advancement in the civilian use of nuclear energy in Pakistan.
