SPIR will execute the academic activities to be jointly organized by QAU and Pakistan Council on China (PCC), under a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two institutions on April 15, 2016.
The agreement was signed by Ambassador Inam ul Haque, President PCC and former Foreign Minister, and Dr Javed Ashraf, Vice Chancellor, Quaid-i-Azam University.
The agreement aims to improve the level of academic and research scholarship of the two organizations, especially relating to China; promote mutual professional collaboration; and enhance professional understanding between the researchers and academic staff in general and the two Organizations in particular.
Its conclusion will help foster Pakistani understanding of China and Sino-Pakistan relations, as they move to the next level amid the implementation of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Cooperation between the two organizations concerns the entire area of academics and research. The two parties shall conclude Work Programme Agreements for cooperation in particular fields of mutual interest through sharing their resources for mutual benefit. The School of Politics and International Relations (SPIR) at QAU will execute this agreement with PCC
Various academic activities will be conducted as per this agreement, including Exchange of Teaching and Research Faculty; Exchange of Student and Research Scholars; Exchange of Academic and Research Information; Undertaking Joint Research Projects; Organization of Short Courses, Conferences, Seminars, Workshops and Lectures; Exchange of Publications; Cooperation with other institutions with similar objectives; and Collaboration for Information Dissemination campaigns.
